About Sara

London born Sara Rashid, founder and Director of ‘Savouries by Sara Limited’ (est. 2013), creates high end hand-made savouries, using the finest ingredients.

Sara travelled widely in her childhood sparking a passion for a diverse palate.

The seed of entrepreneurship began in her kitchen. As her young children became more independent, her cooking for loved ones evolved into creating more elaborate dishes, whilst experimenting with new ingredients.

She then began catering for banquets, with bespoke menus, and the feedback was phenomenal. This motivated her to learn professional culinary processes and research scaling up strategies.

Sara began to expand her creations and generated a social media following and the interest in her products rocketed with nationwide recognition.

Her company was established, and her kitchen and team grew with it. Teaming up with The Halal Food Shop helped with logistics, this allowed Sara to further expand.
